Got up yesterday morning and tried to make it past Sacramento before Saturday morning Labor Day traffic became a problem. I made it through by about 12:30 pm which worked. I called and old friend from 1979 or 1980 when we both lived in Mt. Shasta and talked most of the way back to Santa Nella. The wind was incredible over 152 past the almost dry San Luis Reservoir. I worried a semi truck was going to turn over or a camper in the wind as it blew cars back and forth across the 4 lane hiway over the top of the pass. I could see the many Wind generators spinning in the 70 mph or so gusts of wind down the canyons. Then I was amazed just how far inland the clouds and fog had come that day too. My wife joked that all the days I had been away from the coast had been warm and sunny but the day I returned it got foggy way inland once again. This has to have been the foggiest (high and low fog) since June and still continuing (from Global Warming) I have ever seen since living off and on along the northern California coast since 1980 now. So, if you are visiting north of about San Luis Obispo don't expect sun even now.
I saw people hitting bad traffic heading north between Stockton and Sacramento but somehow I missed the Saturday traffic so I was quite happy driving and talking on my hands free phone system in my truck all the way to Santa Nella and Home to my old friend in Georgia that I haven't now seen in person since 1980.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
