I found through having whooping cough that what you think is going to kill you doesn't always. So, from 2 years old on if it seemed like I was dying again I knew if I just tried to stay calm I might survive it even if one time I got pulled out into the ocean on an inflatable mat before I could swim at 8 with 5 to 7 foot waves I had to come back through with lifeguards at Zuma Beach in Southern California. This would have been 1956 in the summer time.
So, mostly it would be never giving up even when I might cry myself to sleep and say to God "Let me die God! I've had enough!" But, each time in the morning I would wake up a new person created by God and find a way forward each time all the way here to age 68 where I am now.
So, mostly it is just realizing that anything you think might kill you, might not. And secondly learning not to panic no matter what. Because there is nothing that is going to kill you faster than panicking because you might generate a heart attack or stroke or worse if you panic.
Also, when really powerful supernatural events happen you have to be like a soldier and turn off your emotions. It doesn't matter whether it is good or bad you must do this if you are an adult to survive it. The more powerful good or bad the more important it is to turn off your emotions because on one level it doesn't matter whether it is intense Good or intense bad the extreme power of supernatural events can kill you either way. So, stay calm and don't panic and remember the more intense it is the more dispassionate you might have to be to survive it all.
This is how I survived the last 68 years of my life here on earth.
