Realizations come through out our lives from before birth to after death. One of our first realizations at birth is: "I'm in a new world and out of the old one," This can be a good or a bad experience but usually it is both.
Hopefully, over time we come to grips and at peace with our new world we have been born into and if we are lucky we attain one realization after another and can live a life that gives us some kind of peace in it.
Some common realizations are:
I can see
I can hear
I can walk
I can crawl
I can draw
I might be a part of God here on earth
I smell the flowers
I experience being alive with all of you
And then also maybe more esoteric realizations as well.
