Therefore because Trump IS running for President he is subject to much more scrutiny than Bill Clinton is. Therefore what Trump is trying to do in smearing Bill Clinton is disingenuous at the least.
At core there may be things about both Bill Clinton and Donald Trump that are similar. I'm sure as friends in the past they might have spoken privately about all this at length (without the ladies around).
However, Bill Clinton is not running for President, Trump is. Therefore Trump has a much higher bar to cross over at this point in his career than Bill Clinton does.
I think the whole world understands this which is why nothing Trump is saying about Bill Clinton has much meaning at this point. It doesn't stick because Bill Clinton is not running for president.
