Christian Fundamentalists often support Trump because they see the world as Christian Versus Muslim. If you view the world this way since Communist Russia is no more, then Putin is a Christian Leader that they want to ally with against all Muslims. So, this could be the point of view that allies Trump and fundamentalists to Putin as the head of a Christian nation that is militarily powerful.
So, a Christian fundamentalist in the U.S. might see the Russian Christian Orthodox church as well as Putin as an ally against 1.6 billion Muslims worldwide.
Because Putin is trying to kill all the Sunni Muslims on earth. 1.1 billion of them.
So, this might be why they have no problem with Trump's financial arrangement with Putin.
