Instead all political parties are known mostly for platitudes. So, what is happening now in the "party of denial" is that people are trying to pretend everything is okay when it is not. What will happen to the Republican party short term and long term?
This is important because as of now we are a two party system of government and one of the parties is now completely dsysfunctional. But, the same could have been said for the Democratic party in 1968 which eventually led to Richard Nixon's election and resignation from the Presidency.
You might say this is good for the Democratic party but is it really?
The country is not better off with one of the parties of a two party system on life support.
The reason our system of governance has worked as well as it did up until now was two functioning parties. But, since Reagan left office the Republican party has not really been functional because of White Demographics. (more white Republicans dying than being replaced).
So, what is going to replace the two party system in the U.S.?
This is a very important question right now with the Republican party Floundering under Trump.
