I was thinking this may be the future for the world in that, nations who have nuclear weapons like Russia might be able to get away with almost anything. How does the U.S. or United Nations respond to Sunni Muslim Genocide by Assad and Russians in Aleppo? What weight can we throw actually now to stop this? Likely nothing short of nuclear war at this point. The United Nations has been rendered useless to protect civilians by this now worldwide which is a bigger problem than you might think.

Russian bombs kill hundreds in Aleppo, Syria, as U.S. diplomatic efforts continue to stall
Russian fighter jets pounded rebel-held areas outside the besieged Syrian city of Aleppo Saturday — escalating a conflict that has already claimed more than 500,000 lives.
The strikes followed several days of attacks on Syria’s largest city and former commercial center — killing 278 people, including 96 children, and flattening hospitals.
The new Russian-Syrian offensive in Aleppo is setting up one of the most pivotal battles in the civil war, now entering its sixth year.
“Bombs are raining from Syria-led coalition planes and the whole of east Aleppo has become a giant kill box,” said Xisco Villalonga, director of operations for the aid group Doctors Without Borders.
“The Syrian government must stop the indiscriminate bombing, and Russia as an indispensable political and military ally of Syria has the responsibility to exert the pressure to stop this.”
The U.S.-led coalition in Syria has been focused on targeting Islamic State fighters.
But Russia on Saturday warned the U.S. against carrying out attacks on Syrian government forces.
A U.S. attack on the Syrian army “will lead to terrible, tectonic consequences not only on the territory of this country but also in the region on the whole,” said Russia’s Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova.
Seeking a diplomatic solution, Secretary of State John Kerry spoke with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov for the third day in a row Friday.
But the two sides remain at odds.
Lavrov criticized the Obama administration for what he considers a failure to separate moderate rebel groups from those the Russians consider terrorists.
