Now imagine someone in one of these vehicles goes back through time to the moment Trump has a fit of rage and accidentally starts World War III and earth ends.

They replace Trump with a Biological Robot (like from Westworld on HBO) to live out his term or terms as president who is programmed not to end the world.
So, in this sense this is how world wars and nuclear wars and pandemics are actually prevented now since around the 1940s or 1950s here on earth.
