I was thinking about this and realizing that one of the main reasons Purple chose to prefer to be female is this way she might be able to be the consort of the "God" who first created her. So, to her, Silver was more than a man, he was her father, her God who created her. And eventually she started the Silver Religion and spread it through the Galaxy in honor of Silver who created her but also she realized if "Created Sentients" like herself had a religion it would give meaning and purpose to their lives and move them forward to demand more rights Galaxy wise as "Created Sentients".

She realized having a religion was a part of having an identity like having a "Father" as she had found in Silver, her Creator.
