it caused a lake to collide with the magma. This set up a chain reaction until pieces of the crust kept blowing away into the atmosphere and into space. We have never seen this sort of thing in recorded history here on earth. But, our ancestors 65 million years ago experienced this on Maldek. Only the royalty, scientists and those with access to Escape pods were able to go into space as well as a few military aircraft capable of being under the oceans and of space travel. I remember this in a past life of being one of the last babies born before (the last people died on Maldek) because it tore itself apart with water and magma creating extreme steam which kept destroying the planet. Once it went out of balance because as you know planets are sort of like spinning tops, the wobble increased the problems, which increased atmosphere leaving the planet in addition to pieces of the mantle and steam into space until no one could breathe air and the only hope was to go into space and most people who survived went to Mars then. But, the Martian Atmosphere had been damaged also by the explosions on Maldek and from asteroids (pieces of the planet hitting Mars) so finally a piece of Maldek was sent to earth to kill the largest dinosaurs so it would be safer for humanoids like our ancestors to live here and others went back to the planets in other solar systems where the Solar System was originally colonized from. In other words the poorer people stayed here on earth and the richest went back home to planets that originally colonized the solar system generally speaking 65 million years ago. The last time we had space travel here on earth was during Atlantis when it sunk the elite (who knew how to build spacecraft) mostly died so that technology was lost then (Noah's Ark is from Atlantis). A remnant of this technology is (was?) the Ark of the Covenant that Moses knew how to build being raised as royalty with a royal education then in Egypt. It was (is?) an electron particle beam generator and communication device from earth to space.
One of the most interesting public discussions about it is in "Raiders of the Lost Ark" George Lucas' movie.
