The was the goal of CalFire this weekend because of how much more difficult it would be to fight this fire once it jumped the McCloud River because there are no bridges across it in this area at all that I know of presently. And if there are any I don't know about there might be danger of these bridges burning down too. All roads in this area that I know of are dirt roads, so they are either fire roads or logging roads mostly. So, likely they would need 4 wheel drive engines to get through on many of these roads. But, the water advantage is that you have the McCloud River right there to fight the fire with.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
