China sells solar panels below cost (below what it actually costs to manufacture them) because one day they will turn on the world since there won't be any other competitors left except for government subsidized Solar panel makers worldwide just like ALL are in China.
So, the whole point of doing this is sort of like China making Islands in contested waters further and further out to sea, which is basically "Might makes right". In other words if you are somewhere and willing to kill anyone else who comes there to that place likely that place is yours which is what China is presently doing in disputed waters building islands and building military airstrips on these islands and putting military ships both naval and air on these islands further and further out to sea in contested waters.
Monopolizing solar panels is a militarily strategic thing to do and if other countries don't subsidize the manufacture of solar panels too, then there will come a day when China can charge for solar panels literally anything it wants and thereby destroy smaller nations in this way economically and literally put them out of business permanently through starvation because of lack of business internationally. Since Solar is cheaper now than any other electrical source presently known this is coming.
That this is coming is not IF it is only When as China moves towards taking over the whole world along with Russia through economic means.
Part of this attack is now being foisted on America by Russia and China each attacking the U.S. and Europe in their own ways.
What we are experiencing now is only the beginning and this will only get worse now for the next several hundred years as the vice of Russia and China tighten on American financial interests worldwide.
Why should they have a military battle with us when they can destroy us economically instead until we can't afford to have any military left at all?
