29 million Americans live under new voter ID laws put in place since 2020

 A U.S. map showing in which states voters will be asked to present an ID, and whether the state’'s law was enacted after the 2020 election. The majority of states that ask to see an ID when voting in person allow for alternatives if a voter does not have an ID.
