We were going to leave Portland on Tuesday to head south but there was a rainstorm we didn't want to drive through from at least Portland all the way down to Mt. Shasta and Redding then. So, we waited patiently for Wednesday morning to leave Portland instead to head south down Interstate 5 to Mt. Shasta in California once again.
The drive was mostly nice and temperatures ranged from around 65 to 85 depending upon where we were traveling south. Also, Mt. Shasta has a new frosting of snow above around 10,000 feet or more which looks a little like frosting on a bunt Cake or something like that. Today is also a nice day and supposed to be 79 degrees today which is much warmer than Portland was most of the time we were there even though when we first arrived in Portland it was about 90 degrees. However, I think Fall weather is here to stay in Portland the weather man says now.
Whereas California is still having an Indian Summer so far.
This picture here is a lot like what Mt. Shasta looks right now with a new layer of frosting from a storm:
For example, here is Redding about 1 hour south of Mt. Shasta on Interstate 5. These temperatures still look a lot like summer don't they?
