In 2008 more people died that I loved than any other year (4 people died)

 First my aunt who I liked a lot died in June. Then my wife's father died in July then my mother died in September I believe then the next month my favorite female cousin since I was little died. I didn't see how at the time that my wife could survive her father's death and my mother's death in the same year. But, somehow we did and our marriage withstood the test of time.
