2nd day of Modified Organic Vegan Juice Diet

A Modified Organic Vegan Juice Diet

If you want to read more about this my 2nd 7 day organic juice diet click above article. (The first was in June and I lost 30 pounds doing that)

Today I woke up feeling more used to this diet after having done this for 7 days in June already and having been juicing 1 to 3 meals a day depending upon my circumstances since then. By juicing 1 to 3 meals a day since then I have been able to keep 20 of the 30 pounds off so far. I'm hoping to lose another thirty pounds this 7 days. But, this might be unlikely because the first 30 pounds is usually the easiest to lose and the rest tends to come off more slowly after the first 30 pounds or so. Most of you won't be in the same weight class as me because you likely aren't 6 foot 5 inches tall and built a lot like a football lineman that wants to go down to the weight of a quarterback once again. So, my goal is to be about 225 pounds once again which would be a good weight for me at age 64. I have been as light as 172 pounds at this height but at 6 foot 5 inches and being big boned half Scottish that is just skin and bones and muscle at age 17 years of age. So, 225 likely is a much more practical weight though when I get there I might also choose to go down to 200. I'll have to see how I feel at 225 at my present age of 64.

What is a modified Organic Vegan Juice Diet? Well. It is my version that suits my tastes and needs as a 64 year old. It is based upon the "Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead diet" which is organic Fruit and Vegetable juices juiced with my Breville Elite juicer on the spot. I bought my Breville Elite Juicer at amazon.com because I could save about 100 dollars buying it this way. Also, since I get free shipping from amazon.com through my son who has an Amazon.com Prime account I also get free shipping. Last year he saved 300 dollars in shipping just on the parts he bought building a custom made desktop computer for my wife's best friend for Christmas. By custom building a computer you can build something that you cannot buy anywhere else. This is sort of like building a custom made racing car and the result is somewhat the same only on the internet.

So, what did I eat my first day on this diet?

I had a lot of beets left over from my last shopping so I juiced up most of the beets which were the red kind. I added carrots, rainbow chard, kale, a little ginger, and some sprigs of mint and 3 apples. For me, this is a good basic juice to build my diet around. There is also the Mean Green Drink but I find I have difficulty with cucumbers and celery in the drink. Also, if I'm just juicing for myself I usually will add either a lemon or an orange into this mix or both. But lately my wife and my daughter's boyfriend sometimes are sharing and my daughters boyfriend isn't as much a citrus fan as me. So, I modify the recipe according to both my needs and whoever I'm sharing the results with. Since my daughters boyfriend is down from Oregon painting the front of my house he calls the "Beet Power" "Liquid Energy".

Later in the first day I had a Young Coconut which I bought at Whole Foods. Though they likely are not organic and from either Mexico or Thailand I find it helps my diet so I'm beginning to include them in my diet. A Young Coconut is at the gelatin phase of development. At first I opened them up with my handyman knife with a saw but realized that this was a little dangerous because if I wasn't careful I might lose a finger with such a small saw. So, after opening 3 or 4 this way the last month I came upon the idea of putting the young coconut in a vice in my garage and by using a crosscut saw I could then cut the top off of the coconut in perfect safety as long as I cleaned the saw before and after I cut the top off the young coconut. I find it is now easier if I buy 2 young coconuts at a time since this diet one usually has to shop about at least once every 3 days. At first you might be shopping every 2 days until you get into the rhythm of the whole thing because this is a whole lot of food to be going through. You sort of feel like a cow by the third or forth day you are going through so much organic food as you juice.

Also, another thing I have learned. Unless you have a developed organic garden where you are growing organic foods to eat or juice it might be better to throw away your organic refuse after juicing. The problem I'm running into is this: Deer and my dogs and raccoons keep digging up my buried compost. This then draws fruit flies. So, every day I rebury everything and every night raccoons, deer or my dogs or all three also birds dig everything up again. So, at this point I've had enough. So, I either need to buy a composter from somewhere like Orchard Supply and then buy a bale of hay to alternate organic refuse and hay so it can compost without animals disturbing it. However, since deer seem to be competing for the compost now by jumping my fences and even stomping in my driveway and chipping the cement I think I need to throw the compost away especially now it's rutting season for the deer. But since all this happens at night while I'm asleep I only see the evidence but don't hear the commotion. So, my thought is unless you are prepared for all this maybe just throwing away your compost or running it down your garbage disposal or a little of both might be the way to go. This way you eliminate all the problems of fruit flies, raccoons, birds, deer, dogs etc.

So, anyway now you have lost our taste for food after hearing about all the animals wanting what remains of your organic compost I'll share with you what I ate yesterday to see if this might work for you in your diet too.

I started out with organic fresh orange juice. I took the organic oranges and peeled them and then dropped them into my Breville Juicer one by one and shared it with my daughter's boyfriend who was outside painting the front of my house. (And doing a really great job of it by the way).

So, then I added organic raspberries, blueberries, 1 young coconut (that I sawed the top off of in my garage using a vice and a crosscut saw). Then I had a couple of Papayas, 1/2 a cantaloupe and various other fruit during the day. Also, I cheated a little bit by putting the organic raspberries in a cup and adding unwhipped organic whipping cream which made the raspberries, blueberries and blackberries like a desert. However, I did not add any sweeteners to the natural goodness of the organic fruit.

Another thing I like to do if I get feeling too spaced out on this diet is to eat avocadoes or organic Celery with a little organic peanut butter. Another way to stay more decisive and focused when you need to be is to drive to a Jamba Juice and get a Juice combination (your choice) and add 1 or 2 shots of protein to keep yourself more focused when you need to be for driving or making better household or business decisions.

But, just know that you are going to lose weight as long as you keep eating organic produce and juicing. But you cannot allow yourself to eat pasta, meat, cheese or and milk based products while on this diet if you want to lose weight.(I made an exception of organic non-whipped whipping cream) because I knew I could handle it. But, if you are new do this diet I wouldn't advise you to do this. Because diets are all about precedent. It's sort of like precedents of all kinds in your lives. Once you do anything once it is hard not to do it again sometimes. So, often it is better not to go down that road if it accidentally ends your diet that might save your life.

(Oh, I wanted to be perfectly honest with you because it might help you dieting). Last night my wife wanted to see "Hit and Run" the movie once again. I decided to eat popcorn because it is low calorie and only puffed corn in the end. So, I wanted you to know I also ate popcorn last night.

This morning it is now 10:35 am and because I am writing this for you I haven't eaten anything yet. But I intend to start with Organic Watermelon because my body has already started to detoxify which is something it does on this kind of diet and it made known to me that it would like some watermelon to clean out my arteries and veins more. So, if you are a naturally intuitive or spiritual person like I am all these kinds of natural senses just open up more and more on this diet.

However, you do have to watch for warning signs for your specific body. I would recommend a blood test every 10 days or so if you go on a diet like this. Also for over 7 to 10 days you need to be eating more vegetables and much less fruits than I am drinking and eating in order to stay in balance. For me, this diet works great but I am not usually juicing 6 times a day with veggie and fruit juices like Joe Cross recommends. So, that is something to think about too. I'm mostly going for 7 to 10 days bursts of weight loss and then maintaining the weight loss by still juicing 1 to 3 meals a day ongoing because I like it that way now that my tastes for food have permanently changed (I like feeling 40 years younger all the time).

So, this is a whole new life for me since June. I now have hope and feel years younger almost every day (that I haven't injured myself  building or exercising or something like that). And even then it is all recoverable because my immune system on this diet is about 2 to 3 times what it was before with all the live foods ongoing that are all or almost all organic now.
