Later last night I realized that I had sort of gone off track with my diet yesterday by eating too many fruits and this made me a little more out of it than I needed to be. But, luckily I made some Beet Power with my last Organic Yellow Beet
and a bunch of organic carrots,
Kale, spearmint, ginger, Organic apples and one peeled organic lemon.
When I drank this last night it sort of grounded me in a good way so I woke up this morning feeling very clear headed and not spaced out at all. So, this was very good. My daughter was Skypeing with me on my laptop from Oregon and she mentioned that her boyfriend knew a great technique for taking the top off of a young coconut. First you take a knife and scrape the top down to where the hard nut is. (By the way unless you are really good with tools don't attempt this). Then you drive a knife directly into the top near the pointed top (The top has already been ground down to a point by Whole Foods or their supplier). Since you have now removed the pointed top by shaving it off with a knife you very carefully pull the knife in a circle taking the top off much like you would take the top off a jack o lantern with a knife except you have to be much more careful to do this safely.
If you are less skilled with tools and knives have someone in your family do it that is more skilled than you. Or, if you have a vice you could put the coconut in a vice and either saw the top off with something or then use the knife. However, be very careful as you don't want to hurt yourself.
So, anyway, I had a young coconut with it's juice and gelatinous coconut inside with a spoon for breakfast this morning. Since I felt pretty good with this I also finished some Beet Power that I had put in the refrigerator last night before bed. This held me until I could go out and take care of business and get back and make another beet power and also eat 1/2 a cantaloupe. It is now 5 pm and that is what I have eaten so far today. So, I think it is safe to say that the way I'm dieting is so far working for me but it is somewhere between an organic vegan juice fast and a diet so far. However, I feel I'm getting enough micronutrients so my body feels comfortable losing weight.
Often when you try to fast on just water your body will go into emergency mode and hold onto weight even for 40 days or more. But by giving my body micronutrients from Organic Vegan Juice and veggies and fruit it is losing weight because it feels like it is getting enough nutrition to feel safe losing weight while also detoxifying. So, this is great.
Also, one more tip regarding juicing. Since you are not juicing meat or grease but only vegetables and fruit all you need to do to clean a juicer is to use hot water to sterilize it. You don't need to use soap on your juicer. Using soap it is very hard to get it all off and it is the main reason I'm finding that people go off the organic vegan juicing diet because the soap that they don't get off their juicers makes them sick eventually. Because as you juice you tend to get a little spaced out and you might miss some soap one day and get sick and stop your diet which is really sad. Because it is the single healthiest and best diet for health and for losing weight that I have personally ever seen or found anywhere.
So, I'm going to get my dogs now and walk 2 or 3 miles today before it gets dark. Have a Great Day!
Later: After walking my dogs in the forest I ate 1 large pinkish heirloom tomato in slices with olive oil and balsamic vinegar and about 15 to 20 cashews.
Later at about 10:30 pm I ate one sliced organic apple and some peanut butter and I'm thinking about juicing carrots, kale, apples, a lemon, ginger, spearmint because it was very grounding to do that and I woke up really clear this morning after doing that last night. My wife says she is proud of me being able to do this. She's thinking about my diet for herself but I'm not sure this is her style of doing things. For me, it is either to eat or don't eat but somehow this semi fasting type of diet seems to work for me like nothing else has so far in my life.
