My wife and I watched this movie originally in 1997 when it first came out. Then we bought it in VHS or DVD I think then. Tonight we decided to rent it from Amazon Prime over our Roku for about $3.99 for HD. We liked it a lot then and still do.
It sort of does what "Twister" does for Tornadoes only Dante's Peak does it with a Mt. St. Helens kind of disaster in Oregon that is fictional but very well done. Pierce Brosnan and Linda Hamilton.
