    However, remember there are programs like the "Egotistical Giraffe" that penetrate old Firefox versions and the like which defeat TOR here in the U.S.

    This is why I don't believe in using this kind of software for myself yet. I don't find the Internet world here in the U.S. dangerous enough to see any use for it for myself yet. However, for people in China and places like that this might be the only way to view the outside world. But even then that might be dangerous for unsuspecting people not educated enough about all the potential pitfalls in the use of TOR.
