I was watching the above video and the comments by the East Indian or Muslim Gentleman I thought were quite useful. Basically, what he said was these fighters of ISIS are ALL damaged people who are basically psychopathic serial killers. And to think of them in any other way isn't useful.
These are people with a blood lust who literally are criminally insane in their blood lust. They are killing and beheading for the joy of it in sort of a suicidal-homicidal way. To say this is a religious group is to be ridiculous. They are into killing just for the fun of it.
Matthews asked if any were anything but Muslim and the Indian? man said, "No. No one who isn't Muslim or who can't convince people that he is Muslim will be let in because this is a very self selecting group of criminally insane people.
They also discussed that this fight should be joined by other Sunni Muslims to make it effective since the U.S. isn't going to send in troops on the ground beyond drones and fighter planes to blow weaponry and anyone nearby it up.
They were talking about how this had to be done to protect all nations from ISIS killing anyone not Sunni everywhere.
So, the main thought was that these are all psychopathic killers to be eliminated. There is no thought at present to put any of them on trial at present.
I see all this as a cultural war between the 6th to 14th centuries and a post war computerized war of missiles from drones and planes. Which one will win?
Actually, asking which one will win isn't really a useful question.
A better question likely will be: "What is going to happen next?"
Because I don't think the answer is predictable at present.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
