I didn't think it was appropriate in the previous article to put something like this. But, for me, Robin Williams was maybe the funniest white comic of his time. However, in a lot of the ways he was also like Jonathan Winters with the really fast mind of someone good like this. However, this also is a two edged sword to have such a quick and innovative mind. And both Jonathan Winters and he were the best at what they did and both are gone now.
I was thinking of other comics over time, for example, Jimmie Fallon follows a lot in Johnny Carson's way of functioning and like Johnny and is one of the best "Skit comics" in the business.
He is also a lot like Carol Burnett in this kind of talent for doing skits.
Then there is Richard Pryor who is likely the best black comic of all time so far, who was so honest that it made everyone blush at times. He is gone too.
But, Robin Williams also is in a category all by himself, comedian, actor, academy award winning actor, incredibly creative at all times. He will be missed. There's no one like him anymore.
