Intentions
I had problem with what quoted html was doing to my last blog article so I decide to continue here:
is
Hopefully, what happens in your life is that you suffer enough to develop good motivations which then lead to good intentions towards yourself and all other beings.
My own life in some ways was too easy growing up except for Whooping Cough and Childhood epilepsy. So, except for almost dying at 2 and 3 and from ages 10 to 15 my life was pretty easy because I had great parents that didn't smoke or drink that were nice to me and a Grandmother who though was kind of unhappy from her husband taking off and leaving her and my mother alone when she was about 60 was sort of okay and read her Bible all the time and devoted herself to raising me to age 21.
But, then things got rough and I had a hard time surviving to be 25 and to get with my 1st wife and to stay with her through the birth of our son when I was 26. But, after that most of my life got easier and easier because I had to stop taking so many physical risks, like rock climbing with 200 to 1000 feet or more of exposure and riding motorcycles all over the place (I still ride off road because I still love the wild places where there are dirt roads and no or not many people). But, life got better because I stopped taking the most extreme physical risks so I stayed alive.
So, my intention became, "Stay alive to raise your son to adulthood." Then it became "You have to start businesses to support your wife and child." and then it became, "I need to become enlightened to help mankind so they don't self destruct the planet through nuclear weapons or by some other crazy way."
I always knew there weren't a whole lot of people as gifted as I am was because it was pretty obvious to me in my early 20s.
So, around the world I sought out people who were as gifted as me or moreso.
When you are gifted you know who is gifted and has developed their gifts and who hasn't done that whether they were originally gifted or not.
Is being really gifted a blessing or a curse.
It is always both. Because it doesn't matter how you are gifted. I was gifted with women falling in love with me a lot by the time I was 15. Was this gift a good thing or a bad thing? Both.
I was gifted with having very powerful senses beyond the 5. Was this a good thing or a bad thing?
Both. Though having gifts can be useful to your survival unless you develop ethics around them and actually have a conscience it isn't a good thing.
However, luckily at core, if someone isn't trying to hurt or kill me I'm the kindest person you ever want to meet. However, I do believe in self defense both as a soul and as a man on all levels.
My wife says, "You cannot be a genuinely kind person unless you are strong!"
I agree with her. Yes. The kindest of all people are potentially the scariest people you ever want to meet. Which basically means sort of like if you meet a big wild bear in the woods and he is nice to you you better be nice to him or bad things might happen to you.
In other words just because someone is kind it doesn't at all mean that they are defenseless.
Even in women I have found this rule to be true. The kindest of them all have their ways of defending themselves if you cross them.
This is why I believe in the Tibetan Addage, "Friends become enemies and enemies become friends through time and reincarnation, so it is in your enlightened self interest to always be kind to all beings."
Another way people say this is: "Keep your friends close and your enemies closer." However, I don't look at life in this way even though I know many people do.
So, I guess what I'm saying here is your intentions and motivations completely and absolutely decide what happens to you in your life and when and where you die.
So, developing good and useful motivations and intentions might be the single most important thing you ever do in your life if you believe in God or compassion or both.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
