Though many might want the adventure of hitchhiking across Canada maybe their personal robots will one day instead

I was thinking as I read the above article how many people might want to hitch hike across Canada or anywhere for that matter and meet people along the way. However, they might be too scared to do this safely.

But, if people had their own personal robot do this for them that was insured against loss somehow they might be able to talk to the people through a cell phone like device implanted in their robots. This way they could safely have this experience without the risks or dangers and still have this amazing experience of meeting people from all walks of life?
