35 degrees Fahrenheit last night

It was 36 degrees at 11 pm last night which is sort of unheard of for here. But this was real. I was expecting 32 degrees or lower because of the time this 36 degree temperature arrived. However, when I woke up the first time early this morning it had only made it down to 35 degrees. I was really really grateful for this because I have had to crawl under my home in Mt. Shasta around 1990 in around 17 degrees with a rope tied around me if I couldn't get out in that temperature I asked my friend to drag me out by the rope because I couldn't wear enough clothes to stay warm while crawling under the house and was worried about hypothermia setting in. The hot water then had broken then in 1990 near the washing machine and I had to take a hammer to break up all the ice from the break under the house before I could repair the hot water line. So, it took me 5 minutes just to break away all the ice with a hammer working hard. Finally I repaired it and crawled out of there under my own power and went inside to warm up by the fire and then take a bath to thaw out. So not having to do something like this again was WONDERFUL!
