Maybe. The point being "Why didn't Turkey better protect the ambassador of Russia?"
And is this a part of the plan of Iran to take over Turkey before Turkey becomes a threat like Iraq was to Iran under Saddam Hussein?
And in that situation would Saudi Arabia side with Turkey against Russia and Iran?
All these are unknowns at present but any of these things could happen now.
Remember the assassination of an Archduke Started World War I. That is how it began.
So, assassinations are very tricky in the starting of big wars.
It is obvious the assassin was angry about Aleppo and countless civilians killed there by Assad with Russia's help.
However, what happens now?
The other problem for members of NATO in other words Europe and the U.S. and Canada is that Turkey is still a NATO member even though Turkey is no longer a democracy and is now more like Iraq under Saddam Hussein only Turkey is now ruled by Erdogan who has become another Saddam Hussein in many many ways now.
So, if Russia and Turkey come to blows with Iran aiding Russia in fighting Turkey this is also a potential mess for all NATO countries too.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
