And produce 80% of the wealth and 95% of the universities and 98% of the culture and 99% of the patents. That's true all across the world, that's not just here in the U.S. Cities are the life blood and fuel and engine of the economy. They are what makes this country run.
Quote from Fareed ZAcharia's program on Sunday December 18th 2016
Mayor De Blazio of New York in a recent speech: "if the feds come and try to remove immigrants we will resist. If the feds come and try to register Muslims we will not comply. If the feds come and try to take away the rights of women we will not let that Happen."
The mayor of Los Angeles agrees with Mayor De Blazio of New York City regarding all these things as do mayors of cities throughout the U.S. So, many cities will resist the feds coming in to steal rights away from anyone.
This might be the beginning of what has often been called "The City State". It is possible that cities and states will more and more govern according to their own rules and less and less by federal rules.
This is because the Federal Government has become dysfunctional and will only becomes 10 times more dysfunctional under Trump.
So, with Trump I think we will begin to see states and cities more and more go their own way like individual countries.
When Scalia was not replaced at the Supreme Court this began to happen organically because the Supreme court had to throw so many things back upon state courts.
So, the end of Federalism might be coming from the Republicans not replacing Scalia.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
