When more than one article goes viral at your site things like this can happen easily if you have a worldwide blog like this one. It's mostly about "word of mouth" through texts and emails between friends worldwide when they find an article they like.
For example, these two articles alone have received:
So, the numbers to the right of each word button are the total number of visits to each of these articles and usually 100 or more visits continue to each of these articles most days still. So, these numbers continue to go up a lot over time.
the Top article took the most work. The 2nd article was just a re-posting mostly of an existing article I quoted from somewhere else.
The top article took at least 12 hours to compile. I started with a Time magazine article and found that I wanted to know more about all the drones mentioned. So, I did research at Wikipedia and all over the Internet to compile this presently most read article of mine at intuitivefred888.
But, you never know which articles are going to go viral or for how long. But, these two have each been going strong now for a long time. The top one since October 2nd 2014 and even that was a reprint of a previous article I publishes here earlier.
