Portland Oregon: Smoke so thick it is like "Fog"

I looked at the air quality in the state of Oregon and Washington in the following map and then texted my son to see what his experience was in Portland, Oregon. He was the one who said that the smoke was so thick it was like "fog". Because of this map likely Seattle is the same way and most places in between Seattle and Portland as well.

So, be really careful if you have health issues or are at altitude with this level of smoke everywhere in Oregon and Washington now.

My wife had to go to the hospital in Lake Tahoe when my daughter now 22 was only about 5 or 6 years old then because she tried to unload luggage and climb stairs during a fire then. She wouldn't listen to me when I said, "Hey. this is 6000 feet, you cannot unload luggage with this much smoke." The result was spending a night in the hospital on oxygen. So, be careful, especially if you are from sea level at 6000 feet or more or even 3000 feet or more (I had to leave Mt. Shasta on July 7th) at 3800 feet when I could no longer breathe there from the smoke from the Klamathon Fire this year in Hilt near the Oregon Border in California.
