Here's the latest problem I have encountered.
When I started it was the WILD WEST of Internet in June of 1999 and believe me it was pretty crazy and only Techies like myself then even attempted it because unless you could program in HTML or a compatible language or languages you could not blog then. So, my first free site was with Geocities which Yahoo bought at some point. Then in 2007 I got this free website because I realized I didn't have to program it if I didn't want to. I still program HREF functions for Links pages but other than that "Why spend 10 times as long to do something that a program called "Compose View" here at blogger or blogspot or whatever you want to call it does for you saving you sometimes hours of programming in HTML or other compatible language?
HOWEVER, as things became more "CIVILIZED?" just like in the Wild West of the U.S. of the 1800 and early 1900s things have changed a lot.
The most recent thing I became aware of is people reading my blogs and censoring them. My daughter who is also a much better 2022 techie because she is a video editor anyway showed me when she looked into my dragonofcompassion@gmail.com that I was required to get when I got this blogsite. However, I don't use that email address simply because it just gets spammed all the time. In fact, I don't use any email addresses usually (even though I have at least 3 at this point) simply because I don't want to deal with thousands of Spams which make it impossible to do anything else but edit out spams. So, I just gave up many years ago trying to use an email address at all and have people text me on my phone if they want to contact me or call me by phone instead which whether it works or not is what I decided to do. Then also I found that prostitutes in different languages were using my comments section in foreign languages which I had no idea what they were saying or who they were until I ran some of these through Google Translate and was horrified at what people were doing in my comments section at which point I cut off the comments section mostly because I couldn't control or stop this kind of thing affecting my site any other way I knew of.
However, now I find more and more I'm being censored (and I didn't know this was happening) because as the internet becomes more "Civilized?" it is becoming crazy in multiple ways all the time.
So, what I found out is that about 1/2 of what I was posting is being censored (without my knowledge) even though I suppose they expected me to read their emails from my required gmail account (which I never have). My daughter discovered all this which explains why a lot of my postings only got 3 views which means (3 people were censoring my postings).
So, I suppose it's good to know what is actually happening to your blogsite and if My daughter hadn't found this out I still wouldn't know what's going on.
So, blogging has become about 100 times (or more) more complicated and confusing not only for you but for Old Timer Bloggers like myself who have been blogging continuously since June of 1999 when you had to program everything yourself in HTML or a compatible language to make ANYTHING AT ALL work online!
However, I still don't fully understand what they want me to post and what they don't want me to post.
However, I have an inkling of what they want to some degree which might be helpful to any bloggers out there.
They don't want you to post pictures or full articles of anything from websites that are not your own.
And I appears even if you want to comment on an article all you are allowed to post is the link to that article and nothing else with your comment about an article.
So, for me, it's sort of like wearing seatbelts I guess in 1990 when I got a ticket for no seatbelt in Kaanapali, Maui Hawaii and then I got another one in the SF Bay area. I realized the tickets were just too expensive and so I started wearing a seatbelt because I didn't want to pay any more seat belt fines.
I guess the same is true here where I will have to modify how I blog a lot and try to stay more "on top of the changes" as they happen. Because it's not the 1999 wild west anymore on the Internet it's the 2022 Wild West with people like Elon Musk doing strange things to Twitter instead.
Where will it all end?
Hopefully not with human extinction.
So, let's keep blogging to prevent human extinction, okay?
