No one was killed on the ground. However, when pilots started shooting and sending missiles towards Prigozhin's Wagner Mercenaries they shot back and downed enough planes and helicopters to kill 16 Russian Airmen. This fact has changed the situation on the ground in regard to Prigozhin and his mercenaries. So, we don't know where all this is going but I suppose we all can imagine what happens next. However, it is hard to say how all this is going to go in the short or long run.
The biggest beneficiary at present of all this is Ukraine. It's possible that Putin will have to withdraw Russian Troops from Ukraine as Ukrainian Troops take more ground that was lost to Russia before.
However, it is unknown what will happen to Prigozhin or Putin in the short or long run. I think it's possible that Putin might have to withdraw Russian Troops from Ukraine for now to stabilize internal Russia enough for him to continue to rule in Russia.
