And people were very "F-----" up from the great depression and World War II in unbelievable ways that were adults. Only children seemed to still be whole people who weren't completely "F------" up from the previous 25 years of life on earth. People often died sometime in their 30s or 40s or were self destructive to themselves because they couldn't deal with what had happened to them from 1930 to 1955.
So, "Asteroid City(2023) is a caricature of this complete dysfunctionality of most people in 1955. I was lucky enough to have a father who built Liberty ships in Seattle, Washington during World War II instead of fighting and dying in Europe or Japan or something like that and my mother was an amazing person who was an intuitive who sang a lot to relieve stress then. She loved to go out into the forest like on Mt. Rainier and sing to God and stuff like that. This is how they dealt with what had happened in the world. Everyone had lost people in World War II and some had lost people in the Great Depression too. Everyone knew people who died from both things, starvation in the Great Depression and battle in World War II.
So, Asteroid City(2023) does a caricature of these times including regarding an Atom Bomb test nearby them in Nevada which was interesting too. Interesting Surrealistic movie that meant a lot to me because I was a child then and recognized the dysfunction of most characters depicted in this movie. But, I could relate to the children the most because I was 7 at the time this was supposed to have happened (theoretically).
