Storm waves have been hitting coast all week. The Surfers are happy locally I saw 20 of them out there near where I live

I live on the northern Coast of California near the SF Bay area. Where I live we have lost in the last week about 3 feet vertically of the sand on the beaches which is a lot for this time of year. This likely means that big storms hitting us like Atmospheric Rivers are going to again move back the shorline further inland. I think it moved our shoreline up to 20 feet inland in some places this last winter. First, the ice plant and other plants get hit by waves and wind. Once the plants are all ripped off then the water and rain and wind blows away any top soil there leaving only rocks and sandstone small cliffs. Last year Sea Boulders up to 200 pounds were thrown 100 to 200 feet up from the ocean and onto nearby paved roads which was amazing because I have never seen it do that and I have lived here presently since around 1999. But, last year was different than any year before I have seen since around 1995 when amazing things happened then too. People or skip loaders have now moved all the boulders and trees and pieces of wharfs and branches off the paved roads now but we don't know what is going to happen this year.

However, everywhere near an ocean on earth is going to be affected by the ever rising sea levels including here. Most of the time this isn't that much of a problem but it becomes a problem when high tides and big waves and wind and storms all hit at the same time. So, likely more paved roads along the ocean will be undermined enough so cars and trucks won't be able to drive on them until they are either repaired or moved further inland.

Atmospheric Rivers have really changed the coastline a lot all over California the last few years including knocking down or damaging ocean piers along the coast too.
