A Friend of mine drove north from Mt. Shasta today and said it was extremely smoky from about Yreka north to Ashland and Medford. However, they also said it was beginning to rain some where they were likely near Ashland or Medford too in Oregon.
All the fires are supposed to be put out pretty much in California at least. Not Sure about fires further North but there still likely will be a few fires still happening in the Sierras even after this storm simply because the Sierras likely won't be hit much if at all from this Storm. However, they said already when they got up this morning that Shasta had a coating of snow on it that looked sort of like Powdered sugar coating the mountain from the beginning of the storms.
