Violet Sacred Flame

I have been feeling overwhelmed lately like most people on earth. I realized last night I needed to go back to my roots of what my parents taught me about he violet sacred Fire which burns away karma. I looked up on my site "Violet Flame Illumination" which is something I was taught as a child and as a young adult about.

You add the illumination to the violet Sacred fire so that when people burn away bad karma that is affecting them that they still learn from the bad karma they generated at some point. Because you don't want to keep doing things that harm you or others ongoing because that is going to kill you eventually and sometimes others too.

So, the point of violet Flame illumination is to burn away bad karma and become illumined enough so you don't regenerate bad things in your life.

I had an amazing experience that was like the url above when I was 25 and I had just returned from an Easter Service at Self Realization Fellowship in the Sunset Blvd.

Lake Shrine Temple Sunday morning services

(No advance reservations are required)

Lake Shrine Temple offers morning services every Sunday, at 11:00am.  The program consists of one inspirational lecture service  with guided meditation in the main sanctuary.

Over-flow indoor seating with video is available in the special events room off the foyer. There is optional outdoor seating with audio, in the courtyard under canopies. The lecture service concludes at 12pm and guests are welcome to enjoy informal fellowship in the foyer or outside in the courtyard.

Sunday morning guests may also stay and enjoy the meditation gardens and pathways around the lake.  Both Temple and Lake levels remain open throughout the afternoon and close at 4:30pm.

Parking

Upon arriving, parking is available at the Temple and in the Lake level lot (Meditation Gardens are closed until 12pm so please proceed directly up the stairs to the temple). All parking gates open at 10:15am. Additional parking in the Waldorf School lot is now open.  Street parking is also available on Los Liones Dr., Palisades Drive, and Marquez Ave. Handicap parking on site is available. 

Important:  Please follow the direction of gate attendants and volunteer ushers.  Your cooperation is essential.

Temple Bookroom

The Temple bookroom off the foyer will open at 12:00pm after lecture service.  Restrooms with handicap access are available. Temple kitchen and Sunday school rooms remain closed.

Sunday School

Families with young children are welcome to attend the morning services with the following requests:

  • Keep in mind that the morning services are designed as primarily an adult environment.
  • Parents are responsible for their own children and must be present with them at all times.
  • Seating in the Special Events Room is recommended.
  • If a child becomes restless or upset, please walk them away from the area of the congregation and separately attend to their needs.

If assistance or support is required, please ask an usher who will be happy to help.
