Why did Russia and China veto the U.N. Resolution requiring a Cease Fire in Gaza?

This makes complete sense because they want Chaos in the middle East and more of it. This also will help both Russia and China get away with more things they shouldn't be getting away with by distracting the world away from their antics and what is happening in Ukraine from Russia and the harm China is doing to countries on the oceans like Indonesia and the Philippines and other pacific Rim nations. It is to divert world Wide attention away from their antics and towards Israel and the Middle East only.
