For me, Writing is Prayer too.
When I saw this yesterday that "Joy is Prayer" it touched my heart because that is my experience too.
When I discovered Tibetan Buddhism and a path of Compassion I found this to be the most powerful and useful thing I have ever discovered in my life. It wasn't that I gave up being a Mystical Christian it's that I gave up being judgemental and racist like many or most Christians are "whether they realize this or not".
By giving up being judgemental of everyone and everything everywhere I embarked on the most beautiful and joyous experience of my life which is just being kind to myself and all beings in the universe. And since I embarked on this path around 1980 I attribute this path to my longevity so far because my father passed away at age 69 and I'm still alive at 76. (Although it is also true I had a great grandfather who lived from the 1840s until the 1940s during world war II after being a Captain in the Northern Union Army out of Kansas and a Great Grandmother who lived to be 105 years old (his wife).
So, I might be repeating this longevity part of my family because my mother, her sisters and their mother all lived to be 90 years old which is interesting in itself.
However, JOY IS PRAYER is an ongoing experience for me.
And prayer for me is accepting that my prayers are already manifest as I pray and experiencing them already manifest and this heals me too and everyone around me in my life.

JOY IS PRAYER!
