They said the oceans were 1000 foot higher on earth than now. But, this is 100 million years ago not 65 million years ago like the previous article. So, the oceans started to die because the many underwater volcanoes were pushing up the sea floor and bringing water ever higher onto the land. then the volcanoes warmed the water so much it created algae blooms which got so big it killed off all life in the sea on those areas. So, in half of the oceans of the earth it killed everything in the ocean.
I suppose this is a good lesson to us humans now too because coral is already dying now worldwide slowly or quickly depending upon where we are talking about on earth already.
It turns out 50% of the coral Reefs on earth have already died with more to come. So, it sounds like humans driving cars and starting fires and such might be creating what I was talking about above too.
I can see why younger people are pretty discouraged now around the world.
However, just remember when I was growing up in the 1950s I was told that I would die a soldier in a nuclear war and everyone was going to die on earth.
So, that didn't happen because the human race found a way to not kill each other completely (at least so far).
So, maybe we will find a way to fix some of these problems so humans don't go extinct this century?
It's up to all of us what actually happens you know?
