On Being Gifted

Everyone is gifted in some way, even if it is being able to tie cherry stems in ones mouth with only their tongue and teeth. My gift, however, is knowing things before they happen. Very often, this saves not only my own life but also many others as well.

When I was really young I thought everyone could do what I do because I was a child and didn't know any better. As I grew up I found that one had to be careful who one talked to about this sort of thing because in the 1950s people in America were still pretty superstitious in a lot of ways. It is much less so now that so many more people have been through high school and College and world travel was (up until now) fairly cheap during the 1960s through a few years ago. As people got exposed to more divergent cultures everyone it seemed became sophisticated and became de facto citizens of earth and not just people who never ever left their town or religion that thought an original thought in their entire life. College taught critical thinking and the scientific method and rationality and reasoning. Creating a balance between all the old wives tales we were all taught growing up and our newfound knowledge obtained through direct experience has always been and will always be a challenge for everyone to process through and to survive.

I have met and conversed with many many people with IQs above 200. Most of the time I find these types of people are too intelligent for their own good. In other words like Einstein was reported to have said, "Without common sense intelligence is useless"

Luckily, though I was always a risk taker growing up I always had the common sense to know when to quit. Often I sadly knew others who didn't know when to quit and who were maimed or died because of their lack thereof.

So, I would say the single most important thing one needs besides good health is common sense. Super intelligence can get in the way and even be eventually fatal otherwise.

I have, what appears to be a powerful intuitive common sense that allows me not only to know what is coming but to prepare for it. Sometimes, I sense the next 10 or 20 years and what is coming and I want to throw up, like the last few weeks.

Though the group adaptive genius of mankind might surprise me once I presently don't understand how to help prevent millions starving to death and millions more killing for food that I see as fairly inevitable worldwide.

The single most important factor to survive physically the next 25 years would be to be in one of the richer more stable nations on earth. Though, I suppose if you are intuitive with common sense like me you could be anywhere on earth because you could avoid death unless it was your time to go. So, it is of course up to you what you do.

However, expecting half or more of the nations on earth might likely collapse during the next 25 to 50 years through food riots and worse might be a good place to start.

The problem as I see it is this:unless the world as nations go beyond profit and move toward helping their people survive the collapse of many of the poorer nations there will be many many very long term serious consequences that likely will take place.

The idea that we can grow more with oil prices this high isn't going to work because people still can't afford the food grown using the oil products like gas and diesel because the cost of the gas and diesel will make food costs prohibitive for most on earth.

The second problem is that the weather is not going to cooperate. Droughts and winds and hurricanes(cyclones), floods etc. will inevitably increase as the polar ice caps melt. When all the ice is gone from the north pole by june one year, you will begin to see extreme gyrations of weather worldwide. People will see the wisdom of living underground where they are able and creating earth berms covering their homes where there is too much water under the earth to live underground easily. So trying to increase the amount of food grown (at least the way things are grown now) won't work at all. So under present conditions a 50% loss of the amount of people now on earth by 2100 is very realistic as an estimate.

Now, if you can imagine what the starving to death of 3 billions or more of people during this century will do to the psyche of those still alive then you can imagine what life will be like in 2100 here on earth.

Note: It is important to remember my motivation for writing all this. As a lifelong precognitive psychic I have discovered that if I speak or write about what I see the future often changes to a better future. My motivation is to help to create a 1,000,000 year plus human civilization on earth and beyond. I write to help humans not go extinct as humans or extinct as civilizations. I already see the distinct possibility that human civilization might end and we could go back to cave man and cave woman. I think civilization offers less suffering than everyone dying but maybe 100,000 people which within a few generations would likely be a cave man and cave woman reality.

A Sea Change

I think we can all agree that we are in a sea change globally. There don't seem to be any single right answers for all areas at once. Any change or idea that helps one country often could spell the end for another.

America, as usual, is going it alone, much to the consternation of all other nations. For Americans, this is both good and bad. However, I wonder what will happen next in America and around the world as a result.

Realistically, unless America takes care of itself first, other nations will only suffer hundreds of times more in the future. Though other nations might be angry with America and the U.S. now, unless we in America take care of our problems, there will be no U.S. at all for anyone to complain about. Things have gotten about as bad as they can get for now in America without being properly addressed and still have a country intact without a bloody revolution taking place. Only American's apathy and complacency from not having war come into our country since the Civil War from 1860-65 allows us to go through this much insanity without a bloody revolution taking place.
It is difficult for me to say whether this is good or bad or whether this just means we are so entrenched in who we are that the whole world depends upon our stability to stay in one piece. However, I must say, "These are the times that try men's souls"
and women's too!

$1 every 2 miles

Lately I have been trying to grasp in real terms what $4 per gallon actually means. Yes. One way is to go fill up your gas tank when it's empty. However, another way is that if a vehicle gets:
8mpg it costs $1 for every 2 miles driven
16mpg it costs $1 for every 4 miles driven
32 mpg it costs $1 for every 8 miles driven
64 mpg it costs $1 for every 16 miles driven
128 mpg it costs $1 for every 32 miles driven
256 mpg it costs $1 for every 64 miles driven
I think the new apterra prototype gets 300 miles per gallon
300 mpg it costs $1 for every 75 miles driven.

(mpg=miles per gallon of gas)

And that is just your gas. That doesn't include engine, tire or drive train wear, insurance etc.

For me, this makes more sense even than filling my gas tank up. I can relate to this. There are no illusions.

I think the new Aptera gasoline hybrid can go across the US from coast to coast on 10 gallons of Gas(from NBC News this week)

Do it yourself energy

The first useful thing to ask oneself before creating ones own energy is:
"What do I really need?"

The reason this is important is obvious. It not only refines ones ideas but it eliminates waste.

Oil seems to be slowly over the next 20 to 40 years going extinct like the Dodo bird already did and many other species inevitably will. It falls upon each of us to make sure we don't go extinct as a species too.

It is in this survival of the human species idea that I am writing this article.

So I will make a list of energy available other than oil based or grown fuel other than trees.

1. The most plentiful energy worldwide appears to be solar energy which can be tapped either through solar cells for electricity or for heat through black hoses or other devices or through solar cookers to cook food slowly from concentrated sun. One can also use solar cells on the roof of ones vehicle to generate extra electricity for lighting ones home or powering ones electric vehicle. One can also use the sun for generating electricity to break down water through electrolysis into hydrogen and oxygen so one can use those as fuels. However, storing hydrogen is problematic(remember the Hindenburg). However, hydrogen can be used as it is made and provide a fuel that can be burned and the oxygen created will aid combustion.

2 Wind is a very plentiful energy maker worldwide and has been used in the form of sailing ships and windmills for thousands of years already to move people and goods, grind wheat and other grains provide power through belts and gears, and now to generate power. Many places on earth are increasing the amount of power generated by wind generators every day.

3. Water in dams and rivers can also generate electric power or through gears, belts and pulleys provide direct power for grinding or building or whatever one can adapt it to. Ocean waves are also a potential source of power though tapping it because of the rusting factor of waves and the power of storms on waves can be problematic.

4.water as a power source. As I mentioned in #1 through solar created electric power water can be broken down through electrolysis into its component parts of hydrogen and oxygen. These can be burned then as a fuel source like gasoline. The main problem with this is that if everyone converted to water as a fuel for the next 1000 years there might be no water left in the oceans because the hydrogen would have been all burnt up. The oxygen might remain in an oxidized form but I believe the hydrogen through burning turns into something else, maybe helium is one of the elements it might turn into through combustion. However, once enough hydrogen is converted to something else it could never return to being water for the oceans, the clouds and drinking. This could be a problem not in the short run of 100 years but it could end life on earth if mankind used up all the water to make hydrogen and oxygen and then burned them.

However, the advantage to burning hydrogen and oxygen is that no carbon monoxide, or carbon dioxide is formed during combustion because no carbon is present during the combustion.
http://www.hydrogennow.org/Facts/whatishydrogen.htm

5. If one needs to generate electricity without gasoline, diesel or food based fuels then one needs solar cells, wind generators, water for electrolysis to make hydrogen and oxygen, or one can use wood or coal to fuel for example a steam engine or steam turbine if a fuel of some kind is available to operate a steam engine or steam turbine. The steam engine or turbine could be connected to an electrical generator at 12 volts, 110 volts, 220 volts or whatever level of power you need in your country.

So to repeat there are many sources of fuel available on earth that one can use to generate electrical power that can be used for almost anything including running cars off of batteries. It would be possible to trailer, for example a wood burning or coal burning or water based hydrogen fueled boiler on your steam engine to generate power to run your electric vehicle(if that was legal where you lived).

In fact, where this is sufficient water steam based vehicles (like the stanley steamer) are possible anywhere on earth. There could even be four wheel drive models.

The biggest problem with steam engines is not only to they have to exhaust steam from the steam driven pistons but they work better with distilled water. Though any water can be used(except salt water) on steam engines most water might cause some calcium or other buildup.

I rode on steam driven trains in India in the 1980s and they worked great. It was an amazing experience. They are extremely powerful and at that time transported almost everyone who rode trains throughout India.

The advantage of steam at this time, of course will be the price of oil based products. However, I read something yesterday that said that because of all the problems right now all over earth that solar cells will be cost efficient compared to all other fuel sources to generate electric power within 5 years.

So just like the early 1900s we are in a severe energy source shift all over earth. The more efficiently we can all do this conversion the less millions that will die from starvation worldwide. It is estimated that 100 million people have been moved by the price of fuel and food to starvation. In other words 100 million people are slowly or quickly starving to death right now. And all of them RIGHT NOW don't have enough good food to maintain the health of their brains or organs or the same for their children RIGHT NOW. This isn't tomorrow. This is RIGHT NOW!

President Obama?

It is my present belief that the only way Obama can actually win the Presidency is if Hillary is running as his Vice President. One of the reasons that this might be important to the American people is just safety. Obama could be a target for racists. However, it is not the 1960s when Martin Luther King, JFK and Bobby Kennedy were all gunned down so it is anyone's guess about this sort of thing. There is a strange quality about how everything changes but how everything remains the same at the same time.

I think people will just feel safer with Hillary and her husband Bill near the President and available to him in times of extreme danger as consultants that he can reach out to as sounding boards in difficult times. Because with the look of things now with up to 20% of airline service being curtailed in the next 6 months around the country because of fuel prices and American citizens numbed by waiting for $6 dollar a gallon gas by August with homes unable to be sold at any price things look pretty bad. Many people have lost all hope, at least for now. Give them some time to catch their breath.

I think that in order for Obama to be elected President for all the reasons I've given and more that Americans won't feel safe electing Obama as President unless Hillary is his running mate.

Ragna june 3rd 2008

Note: I'm writing this note on September 27th 2014. The Geocities web site doesn't exist anymore. However, most of what I had there regarding Arcane etc. is now at dragonofcompassion.com my newer archive site.

fiction?
note: I have written about Elohar and Ragna since the early 1980s. They are reincarnations of my parents who live in the year 7028. Whether this is fiction or not I'll leave up to you to decide. end note.
2nd note: If you want to read about Jonathan Flow(my alter ego) Arcane, Elohar and Ragna, The Galactic Sentience and all the others please read if you are interested "Memories" through "memories 11". You will find these buttons at my website at:
http://www.geocities.com/RainForest/Wetlands/2634/
They will be down the page a little. I made my site all text pretty much so only mature people who could deal with spiritually, psychologically and technologically mature subject matter. After all, it is the universe according to Fred.

Ragna was somewhat overwhelmed with his experiences on New Deva. However, sitting cross legged in a large green inter-dimensional sentient sphere forcefield and going about 1,000,000 years into the future while sitting facing Arcane while holding his hands with both crosslegged in a double lotus hatha yoga position and then going there and meeting young Arcane at age 15 swimming and breathing in a home sized large fish tank breathing water and catching fish for the New Deva Sea Scouts jamboree had just basically blown his mind in ways he still hadn't accounted for.

Now he was back in 7075 AD on earth. He looked around at his well appointed home and thought about the last few weeks in the future on Arcane's old home planet, New Deva. He shuddered. Even 25 years as a professional military time traveler hadn't prepared him for what he had encountered on New Deva. Since Arcane was nothing if he wasn't a very logical and rational man, he laughed and laughed and laughed now that it was safe to do so. He laughed now it was safe at what he had experienced and he laughed at the contrasts of Earth life in any period he had visited and the entirely different paradigm of New Deva which is quite possibly a newly terra-formed earth in about 1,000,000 years AD.

Ragna looked out through his picture window of the Matterhorn. He thought of the days when there were reported to have been glaciers here. Now living at 10,000 feet was the climate of southern California in the 20th century without the smog. Only the synthetically generated ozone burned ones nose slightly as one breathed.(Ozone was manufactured now to prevent skin cancer for those who went out in the sun. The ozone layer in the atmosphere was now almost like it was in 1900 most places on earth.

Ragna called out to his computer and video screen and had a conversation with it. "How, was your sojourn, Sir?" Ragna said, "Well Veevee, I feel a little disoriented." Veevee the computer and video screen said,"Would you like music and dancing girls, Sir. Or would you prefer the news or an adventure move." Ragna said, "Well. I just had an adventure that would take the top of most peoples heads right off, so no adventure movie. How about a music video of some of my favorite artists. That might settle me down to my normal self again." Veevee said,"Coming right up, Sir."

Ragna loved Veevee. He liked being taken care of the way he tried to take care of and to protect the earth from unwanted time intrusions from other planets or from other times. Though he was always on alert he had given his son the primary duties he had exercised the last 25 years or so. That was why he was allowed to leave the planet on vacation with Arcane. After about an hour he decided to call Arcane in Mt. Shasta, California on the alternate time-line where North and South America still existed as habitable places.

Ragan called Arcane and said, "What were you really trying to show me, Arcane?"
Arcane chuckled and said, "I wanted you to see just how different my life was before earth." Ragna said, "Well. You did. The problem now is I don't know what to do with all I learned. I don't know whether to write about it or to just let it go wherever it wants to." Arcane being the older friend said, "There is a saying Ragna that, 'truth is stranger than fiction', today and the last few years you experienced just how true that is." Ragna said, "But what am I supposed to do with what I learned?" Arcane just said, "It'll come to you, Ragna. I have a sense you will be very long lived just like me." Ragna said, "Thanks, Arcane. Goodbye."

However, when he put down the phone he found himself uneasy with what Arcane had said so he called Elohar, his wife and the mother of his son on the videophone. He let Veevee dial for him. Soon she answered from her wrist phone. He said, "Where are you, Honey?" Elohar said, "Oh. I'm doing a little research on Mt. Kilimanjaro in Africa." Ragna was now worried. He said, "What about the radiation count?" She said," We did a radiation scan and radiation isn't a problem at this altitude so I'll be fine, dear."
He could hear the thwap thwap thwap of the helicopter hovercraft in the background.

Ragna said, "When will you be home, Dear?" Elohar said, "Oh, in a few days dear. Are you all right? You sound a little disoriented?" Ragna said, "Oh, Arcane took me to New Deva to meet his boyhood self." Elohar started laughing and couldn't seem to stop. Then she said, "You Do know he's your Guru right now don't you?" Ragna didn't find this amusing and glowered at her through the video phone. She finally said, "What is the sound of one hand clapping?" Ragna said, "What is that a Zen Koan or something?" Elohar said, "Exactly! Arcane just broke your mind in the koan of the trip to New Deva when he was a boy. He thinks you're ready for enlightenment! This is a very good thing, Ragna." Ragna said, "I don't like it, dear." Elohar again laughed and said, "No one likes enlightenment. It is only the balanced understanding of how everything works and interfaces on all levels philosophically, scientifically, and spiritually, all at once. You don't have to like it, Ragna, but once you're there you will never be fooled again about anything meaningful." Ragna said, "Well. I guess if you say so it must be important." Elohar said, "It is." Ragna said, "You're the greatest, dear!" Elohar said, "Be home soon. Darling!"

100 million pushed into hunger worldwide

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/in_depth/7432583.stm

quote from above internet article
The host of the conference - the UN's Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) - has warned the industrialised countries that unless they increase yields, eliminate barriers and move food to where it is needed most, a global catastrophe could result.

The FAO is calling for $1.7bn of emergency funding to tackle the shortage in production.

The recent crisis is believed to have pushed 100 million people into hunger worldwide.
endquote.

As a precognitive psychic it is my duty to say that up to 1/2 of the worlds present population level will be gone from starvation and unclean drinking water by 2100 unless extreme action is taken during the next 75 years.

Winds and Drought

As a lifelong precognitive psychic when I look into the future 20 to 50 years or more what I see is that the biggest problems people on earth will face is the winds and the droughts. Because even though floods and hurricanes seem to be a bigger problem at least they are of short durations and bring water with them so people don't die of thirst and they can still grow crops after they clear the land of wreckage.

No, winds (including tornadoes) and long term drought might leave whole new areas relatively uninhabitable or at least unable to grow food even if the land is good.

I was looking just at the tornado death statistics for this year in the U.S. They are already at about 108 deaths in the U.S. from tornadoes already. I think the average for a whole season is between 30 and 50. So only part way through the tornado season and we are already 2 to 3 times beyond the average so it is likely going to be a 200 to 400 death season in the end which is sure to horrify and devastate a lot of people.

I think less people will rebuild above ground as these winds increase over the next few years and more (where there isn't underground water problems) will choose to build underground or within an above ground earth berm that will be relatively impervious to tornadoes. Windows could have metal shutters on metal hinges that would be less likely to blow off during high winds than wooden ones.

Those who choose to stay in Tornado alley should be aware that these winds will likely increase over the years and get a lot worse than now because of erratic Global Climate change. Just one look at the North pole Area and the loss of ice will tell any educated person that everything weather wise is going to change.

The plants all over the world are kicking out pollen at an unheard of rate as if they too think the world is ending. I don't think the world is ending. I'm not apocalyptic in my thinking. I believe some humans who choose to will survive no matter what.

So my philosophy is:"Prepare for the worst but hope for the best." My pioneer ancestors since 1720 in America all thought this way and so do I. It's why we survived when others didn't.

Life

I was having a conversation with God and it went something like this:

I started thinking about some of the really awful things that have happened in my life and I asked God, "Why do we go on living?" God said, "For the good parts. The rest we deal with so we can experience the good parts." This was satisfying even though some things are just so terrible to deal with like Divorce, Child custody legal battles, Senile dementia and Alzheimers in friends and relatives, and when people close to you die. I've had to deal with all of these things. If you live long enough you probably will too. So get prepared. Get tough enough to survive whatever comes.

But remember, we all live for the good parts not the impossible parts. But in order to live through the whole thing we have to be strong enough to deal with it all for maybe 80 to 100 years. It is said that someone who lives to be 30 can expect to be 90 or even 100. That's life!

We are our own worst enemy

We Americans are our own worst enemy. When we had a defined enemy like the Soviet Union we were fine but since then we have fallen apart as a nation and are at each others throats all the time now.

Political Correctness is a disease. There should be a vaccination against it. It is destroying us. In 1989 when I was attending a California University I was horrified when any professor that had an opinion other than political correctness was fired. That was nuts. This is nuts.

Both Hillary and Obama have been the victims of severe discrimination. Their only difference is that Hillary was harmed and Obama was helped by these types of discrimination. This discrimination is based completely upon political correctness and may be the beginning of the end for our nation.

Political Correctness is diplomatically lying. All governance is based upon this kind of lying. It pervades all news outlets whether on TV or Newspaper. The only thing that approaches honesty is some blogging like this one and many others. ALL other paid for news is dishonest either by accident or by design and usually both.

Hillary was cruelly discriminated because she is white, rich, Bill Clinton's wife and most severely and cruelly because she is a woman. Obama was reverse discriminated by white people which artificially increased his standing among white, elitist, rich people who are well educated and sickeningly politically correct. In other words (congenital liars). Where will these people be in the November election. They will be artificially sad when the blue collar people for whom political correctness is something they see that is brown in a toilet have voted for McCain because blue collar people are honest and they are racist in the voting booth.

So, the end result of this is that likely McCain will be elected much to the consternation of white elitist democrats who say one thing and feel another secretly in their hearts.

However, this, for me, isn't why I'm angry the most. I can handle Obama getting reverse discrimination and helped by his race. I am embittered by the way Hillary was harmed by discrimination. So I feel happy in one way that Obama was helped by reverse discrimination and I am angry as a chivalrous man that Hillary has been so dishonored by her treatment by almost everyone. She was, after all, our first lady for 8 years. Could you imagine how angry Bush would be if his wife was treated this badly?

Now, to top it off, though I agree with how the delegate thing was handled I am very angry with how the people who actually voted in Michigan and Florida. If their votes are cut in half it makes the votes of everyone else who voted in the primaries invalid in a way too all throughout the country just based upon fairness alone.

To sum up no matter who wins the election in November the democrats have already ruined it for America! It will not be fair no matter who wins now. It's 2000 all over again just in a different sick way!

All Americans and the world will eventually suffer from this stupidity. Anyone with even half a brain can see this!

Should Oil and Food Futures be temporarily outlawed?

Since many people know that at least $50 dollars per barrel of oil is caused by oil speculators and oil futures traders worldwide it might be time to temporarily outlaw oil futures trading and the trading of instruments that invest in oil futures.

Food Futures and commodities instruments also are unnecessarily jacking up the cost of food worldwide and so could be temporarily outlawed until food production resumes at a level in which millions aren't dying like now worldwide from starvation caused by too high food prices.

It is an emergency measure that must be considered in order to help save the lives of millions the next few years.

The world must prioritize whether the stability of half the governments of earth is more important than allowing oil and food futures trading. I think it is one or the other. In the present world climate of business one has to go. I think you know which one it has to be.

It is said every government is three meals away from anarchy. Because of the inherent truth of this we may see many revolutions and anarchy in many countries this year and the next on earth.

As a precognitive psychic I can say that if these problems aren't handled right half the population of earth will be gone this century as well as half the governments. If you want half the nations of earth to look a lot like Somalia does now then do nothing.

There are no problems only opportunities

If you look at life like the title then problems just don't exist, only opportunities exist. It is an incredible short term and long term survival tool to view everything this way. If one just focuses on their problems pretty soon they start freezing up and become incapable of solving anything.

But if you change each problem around to an opportunity then everything changes and there are always new and interesting opportunities arising. As soon as you force yourself to look at everything in this way you are free.

Let me give you an example: The first example could be divorce.

If you are a man going through divorce then the opportunity is to meet and date new women. This time try and meet someone not only nice but wealthy. You ex-wife is sure to clean you out. Just make sure she can't take assets from your new girlfriend or potential new wife.

If you are a woman going through divorce same as above except you will likely get the kids in most states so make sure the new guy likes kids and will be good to them.

Let's take another example. Bankruptcy.

This may seem awful but look at the opportunity. If you get a Chapter 13 bankruptcy for example you may be able to keep not only one car per adult but also 1 home in the process. You pay about 10cents on the dollar to each creditor(although this has changed somewhat in the last 10 years so do research) and your student loans can't keep adding any new interest after you go into bankruptcy.

Another example. Death in the family.

Though this seems really awful, use this time to mend fences with family members who come for the funeral. Heal old wounds. Meet old friends. Heal yourself.

In otherwords no matter how bad a situation is one can find the good in it. for example

Death:

either there is peaceful oblivion or if you've been good: Heaven!

There's always Hope

When I was young my mother had a beautiful statue of Quan Yin, the Goddess of Mercy on the mantle as I was growing up. She is a figure in Asia much like Mother Mary is to Christians and Tara is to Buddhists. Though we usually had a small statue of mother Mary and Jesus in the home as well, Quan Yin, always seemed the one to go to for mercy. Even now, if I am in a room with a picture Mother Mary or a statue of Quan Yin or a statue of Tara, I will reach out to whatever one is represented there if in need.

Tonight was such a night. My wife has a statue of Mary in our bedroom and I felt overwhelmed as many billions do with all the changes on earth the last few years. There has never been so much suffering by so many people and animals that I can remember in my lifetime going on at once. The biggest problem right now is starvation worldwide. It has always been there but not to this extreme at least in the last 30 years. And the numbers suffering are unheard of in my lifetime.

So I reached out to Mother Mary in overwhelm from it all. I felt billions of others praying with me all over the earth. I knew it was a watershed moment, a beginning of healing for life on earth. I experienced the now familiar at-onement with all those praying for mercy for mankind and all on earth in all their ways and I felt the prayers begin to manifest for mankind and all life on earth. I searched my soul for an appropriate prayer. Finally, I said, "Dear God, bring mercy to all mankind and life on earth. Please send all our souls to where we need to be as mercifully as possible. Amen"

Jonathan

One of the characters I have written about since the 1990s is Jonathan. He is(my alter ego) so to speak. My primary purpose for writing is not for money but as a way to stay whole and balanced in my life. Some people do Art, or write symphonies, or play guitar or dance or whatever. I write and play and write music and sing. That is what I do along with hiking, swimming, biking, and traveling to stay balanced in my life. It keeps me healthy mentally, emotionally and physically. It is a very good thing!

Jonathan started thinking about all the women he had known in his life.
Women, historically, like to blame men for everything. It seems to be their favorite pastime. However, thinking like this only makes women children in the eyes of most real men. Men know that they didn't make the world the way it is. They just have to be more pragmatic than most women ever choose to be. For a real man, death is always looking over his shoulder. Death is always near. So women and girls tend to blame men for everything like scapegoats so they don't have to think of dying and death so much. But for real men, death is always breathing on our necks. We know how unsafe life really is. Living in a scapegoat fantasy is not an option for us. We have always died in the wars since time immemorial. Women have the option of whether to go to war. Most of the time men didn't have this option. This one difference changes men in a sad way and many don't survive well with death always breathing over their shoulders and die young in various ways.

So we understand when women choose to live in a fantasy. Their fantasy worlds keep some men alive like me. I have always loved women. They are probably the only reason why I have stayed alive so long. As long as I have had a good woman to stay alive for, I have. Some women's fantasies are silly but some are actually mature enough to sustain a relationship for a year or more or even a lifetime. So, we help each other through life any way we can.

When Jonathan was young he believed in getting married one time to a high school or college sweetheart and settling down and having some kids. But the Viet Nam War and the 1960s and 1970s came along and destroyed all these archaic notions or at least severely modified how Jonathan saw all these things. They say experience is the best teacher. I say experience turns everything you were taught growing up to bullshit!

Survive that! I did. So three wives later and one biological child with each wife and two step kids and 2 god daughters that my third wife and I helped into and through college and my oldest biological son who is now in medical school.

The most meaningful thing I can say about my life is that I survived it. For me, that is the single most surprising thing, that I am still alive at 60.

Because of my father and having had whooping cough, sunstroke and then childhood epilepsy I didn't have to get drafted and go to the Viet Nam War like many of my friends did. However, more young men died my age in Viet Nam than any other. My best high school friend who went to Viet Nam now has dementia and it lost to me. Those who went to Viet Nam came back in pieces either physically and mentally, all of them. No one I know came back a whole person from Viet Nam. It murdered their youth, their soul and their reality. It twisted them into strangers I didn't usually want to know anymore, except for my best high school buddy. But we didn't reconnect until about 5 years before he stopped knowing who he was.

Now, of my three best friends from Junior High through age 30, one is dead, one doesn't know who he is or who I am and one just broke his arm and was knocked unconscious chasing a 25 year old women down the slopes on skis. So he can't sleep more than 5 hours at a time now because his rotator cusp hurts too much ongoing now one year later. Sometimes I feel like the last man standing of all my friends. But I'm married and still have a 12 year old at home so I need to be strong for them. Life goes on.

I don't get paid for Adds at my blog

I just wanted people reading my blogs to know I have never received even a penny for any adds at my site. Primarily, this is because I won't give my social security number over the internet so they can pay me. For me, this is just common sense.

For example, since I started working with computers in 1966 on the old IBM 360s and 1620s. After about 10 years after that computers became a hobby for me, after I started owning businesses myself. By then I had learned to program in Fortran and Cobol and taught myself the Basic language on my first home computer, a TRS-80 in 1978.

The point I am making is doing taxes online, for example, is just a great way to lose your identity as well as all your personal information to everyone around the world that you wouldn't want to have it.

So, giving my social security number to get a few dollars for putting adds on my site is just really crazy to me. But since about 50% of the adds I think are interesting, useful, or fun, I let them stay. However, I have no say in which adds are put here, they just (as far as I am concerned appear there spontaneously). I'm as surprised as you are when we see some of them.
