A Sea Change

I think we can all agree that we are in a sea change globally. There don't seem to be any single right answers for all areas at once. Any change or idea that helps one country often could spell the end for another.

America, as usual, is going it alone, much to the consternation of all other nations. For Americans, this is both good and bad. However, I wonder what will happen next in America and around the world as a result.

Realistically, unless America takes care of itself first, other nations will only suffer hundreds of times more in the future. Though other nations might be angry with America and the U.S. now, unless we in America take care of our problems, there will be no U.S. at all for anyone to complain about. Things have gotten about as bad as they can get for now in America without being properly addressed and still have a country intact without a bloody revolution taking place. Only American's apathy and complacency from not having war come into our country since the Civil War from 1860-65 allows us to go through this much insanity without a bloody revolution taking place.
It is difficult for me to say whether this is good or bad or whether this just means we are so entrenched in who we are that the whole world depends upon our stability to stay in one piece. However, I must say, "These are the times that try men's souls"
and women's too!
