The primary seat of Buddhist advanced learning including where many Mahasiddhas were trained was Nalanda University which was the world center for Buddhist advanced philosophy and learning originally in India which is in Bihar state not too far from Bodhgaya because we were able to get there by bus within an hour or two from Bodhgaya, India which is also in Bihar state.
So, my family and I walked through the ruins of Nalanda university then. The Geshe (who was a lama then and still alive told us how when the Moslems of the Mughar Empire came that they sacked Nalanda University then. So, when the Library at Alexandria burned and Nalanda University was also sacked the primary repositories of knowledge in the world then were lost regarding many aspects of history now lost to us worldwide.
But, in Tibet was preserved writings of those times likely taken by Padmasambhava or others to Lhasa which talked about how after Jesus was crucified he went with Mary Magdelene his wife and children to India and taught as a guru there until he passed away in his 80s. So, India (and the whole world) is actually filled with Jesus' genetics now through his progeny. Likely millions or even billions of people now carry the blood of Jesus in their veins.
But, the western world being as ethnocentric as it is is not going to be able to deal with this at all and will continue to live in mythology as ethnocentric cultures tend to.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
