This is a very funny comedy. But, you have to be a fan of Woody Allen's New York intellectual humor to enjoy a movie like this. In this movie Woody and his wife Mary Steenburgen live in the early 1900s on an east coast country estate way out in the country. He is an inventor and their friends who visit on a weekend are all East Coast intellectuals of the early 1900s. Motorcars and flying contraptions are somewhat new in this midsummer nights sex comedy.
I noticed it was on TV so I DVRed it and am right now watching it with my wife. I find it very satisfying because in 1982 I was 34 years old. So, this movie sort of captures part of the humor of the 1960s, 1970s and early 1980s.
