The Storm appears to be hitting further north than expected

So far, this storm appears to be hitting only north of the Golden Gate Bridge. We had expected rain by now and both rain and snow are falling north of San Francisco at higher elevations because this is a very cold northern storm. We went from temperatures as High as 70 the other day to presently mid 50s with a high today of 62 but still mostly sunny here in the greater San Francisco Bay Area. However, I found out that most trails are closed in Big Basin State park which is in between Boulder Creek on 9 and highway 1 south of Half Moon Bay here near the coast of California. It appears the land around there is sliding along with many redwoods so the trails mostly are unsafe because new slides (including several large trees might come down upon trails at any time now) so they have closed most of the trails there because of this. It is now about 5:30 PM Saturday night just before sunset.

From the radar it shows it raining and snowing from north of the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco up as far as Medford, Oregon or a little further north.

However, they did say coming back to the Bay Area from Lake Tahoe tonight or this afternoon might be problematic because roads might be closed from 1 foot or more snow falling in the High Sierras.

Right now it is snowing from Tahoe city down as far as  South Lake Tahoe, this is what the weather radar says.
