The way Nunes has handled all this so far indicates that Trump at some point might have to resign as president in order to protect the office of the presidency like Nixon did. Also, to protect the office itself likely Trump will be pardoned by Pence after he becomes President.
However, that does not mean that one or more Trump associates won't be going to jail or be executed for Treason. It just means that Trump is likely to be pardoned in order to protect the office of presidency just like what happened with Nixon.
This is the likely outcome from all I have been able to ascertain so far.
Trump is a deal maker and would obviously understand all this. So, this is the likely outcome as of right now.
