Two of the things I learned yesterday that give me the "Willies" regarding Global Climate Change

Number 1 The war in Afghanistan causing American Soldier's deaths is partly because of a Drought in AFghanistan which prevents them from growing wheat there because there isn't enough rain for that (unless you have dams to catch whatever rain that falls which is non-existent over much of Afghanistan at present. But, Opium Poppies take 1/5 the rain of wheat and it is therefore POSSIBLE to grow opium poppies and not have your family starve if you are a farmer in Afghanistan.

Then the Taliban have vowed to protect Afghan Farmer's rights to grow opium Poppies so they won't starve to death during the Drought and resulting famine there.

Number 2: Did you know that one of the significant causes of the Syrian Revolution IS A drought in Syria of epic proportions?

This caused cities in Syria to grow with unemployed young men from the farm fields by 30% in growth. What are unemployed young men with no jobs going to do in cities then?

This is one of many causes of the Syria revolution which is still not over by the way even today almost 7 years later. Then on top of this problem add to that refugees from the IRaq war from 2003 until 2011 or 2012. Then you begin to see the real causes of the Syrian Civil war and the Libyan Civil War which resulted in the death of Qaddafi and the Iraq war that resulted in the death of Saddam Hussein. YOu and I may agree that Libya and Iraq are better off without Saddam Hussein and Qaddhafi but what you just lost there too is any semblance of order or a "STrong man" to control things who will enforce his will enough for there to be order because democratic institutions are still very weak in Iraq and almost non-existent in Libya still.

So, think about our soldiers in Afghanistan and think about our soldier advisors still fighting ISIS now and think about one of the root causes of all this being a drought in Syria that helped cause all this by sending another 30% of young men into cities in Syria on top of the refugees from the Iraq war already.

So, you can see why I now see Global Warming and Global Climate change as one of the biggest threats to U.S. and World Security right now.

Then you add to this hurricane, Harvey, Irma, Maria and whatever.

Then you add to this the drought in North and South Korea mitigated slightly this summer as well. So, one of the factors of whether Kim Jong Un launches a Hydrogen bomb or missile against South Korea, Japan or the U.S. is actually the bad drought that hit north and south Korea most of the last year or so there which created more starving people in North Korea which created a much more warlike stance in order to keep North Koreans brainwashed and disciplined for war which caused there thousands of more deaths from starvation already.
