Whether it is photographs or articles or Vlogs online or whatever it is, mostly it's about what touches someone in some way. It makes them laugh, it shows them truth, it makes them cry, it touches them in some way that makes their lives more meaningful in some way or ways.
When I first began writing though I believed I was writing for others in a way I was writing for myself because I didn't understand this. I still sometimes write for myself but now I also know what other people might want to see here at my blog as well.
At first I didn't look at my stats page at all, but then my son pointed it out to me and my older daughter too and then I realized I had it all wrong in regard to what people wanted to read. It wasn't as specific as I had originally thought. It was more broad what people wanted to read and to understand.
The only way you are fully going to understand what your present readers want to read about is to look at how many hits each article you write have: daily, weekly, monthly, yearly ongoing.
For example, at first this was the most read article here at my blog:
Cessna 152
even though it was written in 2010. But, this was before I was even looking at the stats pages.
After I saw what my readers wanted to read about more I realized that: "As long as it was interesting and fun for me to put articles here not only for myself but for my readers around the world this all worked for me. I have always been someone that enjoys making other people happy, as long as it makes me happy too. So, writing and compiling a blog has been "God's Work" for me since I promised God I would do this in Fall 1998 when I didn't know if I was going to live even one more year then. So, in May 1999 when doctors told me I not only wasn't going to die but that I could live a normal life span (whatever that is) I began blogging (before it was even called that) at my first website at Geocities.com
That website disappeared in 2007 and I began two new websites, this one and dragonofcompassion.com
This website is free for me to blog for you on and the dragonofcompassion.com website I pay yearly for because it is through Yahoo Business Websites. There are dragonofcompassion.com I share most of my longer writings for free with the world. I have a unique style and point of view because most people who have had near death experiences like me are already dead. But, God has by his Grace kept bringing me back from the dead whether it was 2 with whooping cough, or whether it was ages 10 to 15 with "Blunt Trauma childhood epilepsy" or whether it was having me leave my childhood religion (which caused me to be suicidal in my early 20s until my son was born at age 26 or whether it was a heart virus at age 50 when my children were 9 and 2 1/2 and 24 years old. Or a burst appendix 3 years ago now etc. etc. etc.
I have noticed many or most people don't survive even one of these because they don't seem to have the right connection or attitude regarding life and God.
Miracles have been ongoing in my life since I was 2 so I guess I'm less surprised and more grateful to God than anything else for all the miracles in my life ongoing so far.
I know I sort of slid off the topic of how articles go viral online but hopefully you got some good information on that as well earlier in this article.
By God's Grace
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
