I got my upgraded 2015 Macbook pro laptop today. What I had done was change the battery, change the keyboard and change the view screen. All of this cost about 600 to 700 dollars at an apple store and then they mailed it to me. What's great about this is I didn't have to pay 2500 to 3000 dollars for a new computer and I didn't have to learn a new operating system. My daughter who is presently more techie up to date than I am figured this was the most ecological and efficient way to go. Blogging and reading doesn't take a whole lot of memory or RAM compared to other things and this also frees up money to give my daughter a really good computer for her Digital Video Editing Business too.
My friend found a way to keep using his 2009 Macbook pro 15 inch screen but I wasn't willing to go through what he did to keep his 2009 running. So, I bought my 15 inch Macbook pro in 2016 and have been using this ever since. I still have my 2009 Macbook pro but it no longer will work online unless I likely do a lot of stuff to it like my friend did to his 2009 macbook pro to make it still work online.
He was saying I could have made all this happen myself by opening up the macbook pro and installing a new battery, a new keyboard and a new View screen. However, I was already having someone else do this before I thought of this as an option. But, if you have ever worked on hardware, Static electricity will quickly kill your laptop or desktop in one second if you have a wool carpet and aren't grounded properly while you are installing new things in your laptop or desktop. So, you can easily kill your computer permanently (the CPU) or other components if you don't know how to ground yourself and your components while you are changing parts.
