My own experience growing up in the 1950s was that I was given NO vaccinations at all because of a religious exemption. So, the first vaccination I ever received in my life was a tetanus shot at age 15 from being bitten by a blind dog I had tried to pet that was very old.

However, the bad part for me of having no vaccinations at all from zero to 15 was that I got whooping cough and almost died between 2 and 3 years of age with it. Then because of the precedent that my parents set I didn't vaccinate my first born, a son and then he got whooping cough too which made me feel very bad. But, like me he survived whooping cough.

Then my next two biological children I made sure that they both got Shots to prevent whooping cough.

So, if you are not going to give your kids shots you should consider giving them at the very least a shot to prevent whooping cough which can easily kill children under about 4 to 5 years of age because their lungs aren't developed enough yet to easily survive whooping cough at that age.
