IF you want to quote from any source you use the edit function usually found up near where it says "Chrome" or "Firefox" which I have found (at least a blogger.com (blogspot) using a macbook pro are the best two browsers to use for blogging here at this website generator.
- Publish your passions your way. Whether you’d like to share your knowledge, experiences or the latest news, create a unique and beautiful blog for free.
Though it might be harder to generate readers than at Facebook you have much less fear about having every piece of information you share with Facebook monetized against you in your life.
You still have to be careful what you share but if you are high school or college educated most people understand who are educated what should be shared and what shouldn't be shared in order to protect your personal finances and identity. I prefer not to give my full name because this is an international blog which if you think about it makes perfect sense.
So, my handle is intuitivefred888
My name actually is Fred and I only share that I live in the general vicinity of San Francisco, California in the Greater San francisco Bay area.
If you are female you might want only to share that you live in California for example to be more safe.
However, I have had well over 2,100,000 visits to my site and likely will have over 5 to 10 million visits to my site or more before I'm done blogging or more.
You can help make the world a better place through your blog articles as long as you can also protect yourself and your families and friends form harm while doing this.
You definitely cannot protect anyone if you are on Facebook. This is a given.
For example, if you want to move information to your site in order to quote it you can clean it up "from any advertisements" which is helpful to your readers. I prefer not to have ANY advertisements on my site at all.
So, my site is not a monetized site. I didn't start it to make money but rather as a public service.
My purpose here at this site is to prevent human extinction and secondarily to promote democracy as at present I believe it is the safest form of Government on earth properly used. As long as you have educated electorates, democracy can be a force of Good on earth for all peoples.

How do you quote from another source online?
You use the edit function up near where it says Chrome or Firefox on those two browsers at the very top left of your page. For example right now I'm in Chrome to the right of the word "Chrome" is "File" to the right of "file" is "Edit". Now try clicking on Edit and a panel will come down with a bunch of commands you can use.
In order to copy from one site to another you want two windows open. The first window will be your blog site in compose mode. The second window will be what you want to quote. You your mouse and while it is left clicked "held down" you move it over what you want to quote which turns it usually a shade of blue or other color. While everything you want to quote is a color you go up to "Edit" and click on "Copy" in the panel that drops down from "Edit".
What this does is it tells your computer to make an exact copy of whatever you had colored by holding your left click on your mouse down so it is resident in your computer's memory.
Then go to your "compose" mode in your other window and click your cursor on the blank area you want this to copy to and then go up to edit and this time do NOT click copy. This time you click "Paste" and it should if you have done everything right paste everything you had on the previous window that you colored with your left click sliding over it to your compose section of blogger.com at your website.
Once you put it in your compose mode at your website you can edit it much like you edit at "Word" while text text editing in "Word".
While it is in your Compose section you can either delete sections you don't want like advertisements by putting the cursor to the right of what you want to delete and holding down the delete key, or you can left click your mouse and hold it over what you don't want on your published page eventually and then hitting your space bar and whole sections you have colored will usually disappear. When it disappears from your "Compose" page it is gone completely.
But, never never never share anything that you copied without giving the address (either word button or URL)
URL is something like this: www.google.com/search?rlz=1C5CHFA_enUS750US750&ei=4DbSWueSNIKP0gLluaDYBA&q=temp+in+san+francisco&oq=temp+in+san+francisco&gs_l=psy-ab.3..0l10.1214933.1222011.0.1222763.31.22.2.7.7.0.149.1556.21j1.22.0....0...1c.1.64.psy-ab..0.31.1584...0i22i30k1j0i67k1j0i10k1j33i160k1.0.xkgBYTTLQRU
This particular URL is requesting weather for San Francisco from Google search. But, every site has one of these as long as your computer is set up to display them. If you want a copy to share left click along it and then go up to edit and get a copy of it to share with your readers. You can do the same with a word button as well if you wish.
But, never never share anything from another website without giving credit to that site because otherwise it is plagiarism and could eventually be serious for you if you disregard this in regard to quoting.
So, never never quote anything without sharing the source and giving credit where credit is due.
So, what I do is I put either
Begin quote from:
then I put either the URL or the word button (whichever works best)
Or I go to the end and put;
End quote from:
Then I put the URL or the word button (whichever works best)
The problem is people program in all sorts of situations and all websites are designed somewhat differently. Some people use Javascript some people only use HTML and other people use all sorts of somewhat compatible languages and forms that are supposed to be compatible with basic HTML and HTTP or HTTPS protocols.
But, when you quote these goobledygook things from around the world some will load and some won't and all sorts of problems can arise. So, it is sort of like playing chess trying to figure out what to do in some cases. And it's a good idea to inform your readers wherever possible what you are trying to do and what actually happens when things load from all over the world that you have quoted and given either a URL or a Word Button or both.
If you are really good at HTML sometimes you can correct all this by going into HTML instead of Compose so you can correct some of these problems. However, I didn't start a blog site to learn to debug HTML. So, that isn't my choice.
IF you have ever debugged a program in any language it can day hours or days (or weeks or months or never) to debug something so I'm thinking for me it isn't worthwhile. However, for those of you with infinite time and money on your hands you might think of debugging like playing chess too. So, it all depends upon your disposition and your skills regarding HTTP, HTTPS, and HTML compatible languages.
For example, if you want to move information to your site in order to quote it you can clean it up "from any advertisements" which is helpful to your readers. I prefer not to have ANY advertisements on my site at all.
