People are talking about $1 a gallon gasoline. Opec is talking about drastically reducing production. I saw a 60 minutes program recently an Oil Sheikh and he was asked if he was trying to keep the world on an oil standard. What was interesting was his answer. It was "What's wrong with that?" In other words what's wrong with us fighting any way we can to keep the world on an oil standard?
The primary car makers who have always been in collusion with Big Oil have always been the Big Three Autmakers in the U.S. Who else makes gas guzzlers so shamelessly besides the big three?. So, the republican lawmakers who want to filibuster in the senate any aid to the Big three might cause the end of 3 million jobs. However, this might end Opec too and break the back of big oil permanently. Green technology might save us all yet. I just wish there was a way to give those 3 million green technology jobs for their families and everyone's sake. We definitely live in crazy times!
