I think we are dealing with something as profound as the industrial revolution worldwide. Maybe it is as big also as when people first went from being hunter gatherers to beginning to farm land and to stay more in one place to grow and harvest crops instead of wandering around hunting and gathering.
Only this time because of the internet and TV and newspapers it is happening in real time at almost light speed compared to the other changes we went through where people slowly changed and learned things over hundreds and thousands of years. This time almost everyone is aware that if we stay on an oil standard likely we all will be dead within a few hundred years at most.
Anyone who has been to college and studied any serious research on world Climate change already knows this.
The main problem I see is that there are many problems and few solutions. However, the world economic collapse is buying the human race a little time to make up its mind about what new kind of world we all will decide to create. Hopefully, enough of us can agree before it becomes too late for anyone to survive. It's up to us all now. If you have any good ideas, now is the time to write about them, or to patent them and to get them off the ground before we are all dead! Time is of the essence. Just look at the economic collapse caused by unbelievable chain reactions. Will the world recover from this or just descend into Mad Max.
I think we will find a way. It won't be pretty by a long shot, but after all, necessity IS the Mother of Invention!
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
